Thanks Hache!

Palermo (0 and -0.5) vs Sampdoria for Game 2.040 = for 1 unit

Already lost the inter under play. Damn, sucks that they scored 2 more before the half was over...

And a penalty for Sampdoria..... couldn't be more unlucky, especially considering Palermo is playing much better

Who are some of your favorites to win the WC?

Brazil seems head and shoulders above anyone.

Damn, this is one terrible day. Bad calls and unlucky plays.

Alright

W = 0
L = 5
T = 3

Units = -7
Total units = -7

Thanks for all the support. It might take me a couple of playing days to get back on track, but i think eventually i'll move into the green positive side.

In regards to your question Inspades, i think making assumptions about who will win the world cup at this stage/point in time is just pointless. When the world cup starts i think we'll all have a better picture of who will win it.

On the other hand, there's some really good futures out there (mind you, i hate doing future bets, usually i make my bets the day of, or the day before the event).

If you really want a good future, i'd say
Greece NOT advancing from Group B (Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea and Greece) @ 1.581
1.581 might not be a lot, but i wouldn't be surprised if Greece doesn't win 1 match in the world cup. Argentina will probably beat them, and they MIGHT tie Nigeria and South Korea at best. If i could put them in a future for being the last team of that group, i would def bite on that. Matter of fact, if i have a lot of units before the world cup starts, i'll probably invest a lot of them on the bet i just mentioned.

Lets not forget that we still have several weeks left and those weeks could mean the injury of a key player in a certain team, completely changing the odds.

I really hate Argentina's coach, Maradona, and as much as they have played like crap since he arrived, i think Argentina is going to get VERY far in the World Cup.

Brazil has something about them that just doesn't convince me. They are in a very similar position to Argentina. Great players that don't play too amazing together.

Spain has a LOT of potential of making it far, but the lack of history in terms of doing good in world cups and the fact that they choke at key moments might mean they get disqualified in quarter finals or so.

My best futures/bets BEFORE the world cup starts are going to be teams that i think WILL NOT make it, rather than teams who will win the group or win the world cup.

Im watching too many people post futures in terms of who is going to win the world cup. Why do people fight so much about who will win it? isn't it just easier to determine who is NOT going to make it.
For the people going against Argentina. My opinion might be biased, considering thats where i'm from:
Argentina shares the best squad with Spain. Maradona, the coach, is by far the worst coach we have ever had. Matter of fact, if you take a look at his stats as a coach (he has previously coached for 2 other teams, with very negative numbers) you'll notice he lacks lots of experience.
Regarding the players he took out, i might agree with some and disagree with others. Cambiasso has been on several times and imo he is NOT a good player. Zanetti isn't bad, and although he is performing very well at Inter, he just doesn't cut it most likely because of his age.
It easy to flame someone when they have 100+ good players to choose from and only 23 are going. I mean, obviously some good players will still be left out.
With all this being said, Argentina is at a point where they could potentially win it all, just because of the players they have. The coaching will have little to no effect (which sucks, but we have to play with the cards already dealt). Taking a gamble like Argentina out of the group is just stupid.
Why would you take such risk?
Im not saying it might not happen, but this world cup's Argentina is one of those teams that COULD GO ANYWHERE.

With all that said, here are my future plays (all based of pinnaclesports):

Greece NOT ADVANCING GROUP B @ 1.532 = I'd put a solid 100 units on this one. The odds don't help, BUT THIS IS FREE MONEY PEOPLE. No way on earth Greece is going through. Players don't just cut it, and Greece plays a VERY DEFENSIVE game. It only takes 1 goal to break them. And please don't tell me about the Eurocup bs....
This is probably my bet of the world cup!!!!

Greece UNDER 3.5 Points @ 1.893 = once again, very realistic value here. This means they need a tie and a win.
Nigeria will most likely beat them. Argentina most likely beat them. And South Korea might give them a good battle.... so where are the 3.5 points coming from? Gotta love bashing on this team

Who will win the World Cup? Not too sure yet, thats why the best thing to do is STAY AWAY.
My choices are Spain, Argentina and Brazil, with Netherlands coming behind.
No way on earth Italy, Germany (this one has a small advantage) or England are winning it. Thats just throwing money away. Oh, and don't bother on the "long-shots" like an african team winning it, or Portugal winning it or one of those MONEY GRABBERS that will just make you want to wish you didn't click the accept button.

I'll def have more bets i'll be making. Pinnacle had odds for player match-ups (i don't think its there anymore), those had solid opportunities.

Other bets i might take into account:
Mexico progressing further than USA @ 2.100
France progressing further than Italy @ 2.260

I'll come up with more as we get closer

Just to have some fun, lets do friendly picks:

Spain (n) (-2.5 and -3) vs Saudi Arabia for Game @ 1.787 = 2 units This play is a tricky one, considering spain can easily score 5 goals on this Saudi Arabia team. My concern is if they will just play a slow paced game or will try to show how dominant they can be.

Ukraine vs Romania for Game @ 1.877 = 2 units
Hungary vs Germany (-1) for Game @ 1.735 = 2 units
USA/Turkey (O 2.5) for Game @ 1.862 = 4 units These two teams will fight hard tonight, and i believe we'll be watching a pair of goals from both teams
Poland vs Finland (+0.5 and +1) for Game @ 1.926 = 1 unit Don't ask me why, but my gut tells me Finland will give Poland a good match. I might do live betting on this one so stay tuned!

Spain (n) (-2.5 and -3) vs Saudi Arabia for Game @ 1.787 = 2 units Im extremely disappointed at Spains performance. Saudi Arabia got extremely lucky on those 2 goals they scored considering they only had a pair of chances. Oh well, it was a tricky play... this is why i hate playing teams when the spread is + - 2 or more (in this case -3)
Ukraine vs Romania for Game @ 1.877 = 2 units What a roller coaster. I tuned into the game just before Romania scored the second goal. It was crazy to see Ukraine pushing so hard, but they accomplished the win
Hungary vs Germany (-1) for Game @ 1.735 = 2 units can't believe the line was only -1, i thought it would be a sucker bet, but it turned out great!
USA/Turkey (O 2.5) for Game @ 1.862 = 4 units Great match. Both teams scored, USA finished it off.
Poland vs Finland (+0.5 and +1) for Game @ 1.926 = 1 unit Gut was right

W = 6
L = 6
T = 3

Last set of units = 7
Total units = 8

Not so interesting games for me today, guess i don't see too much value:

Netherlands/Ghana (O 2.5) for Game @ 1.752 = 2 units
Netherlands (-1 and -1.5) vs Ghana for Game @ 1.763 = 2 units
Switzerland/Costa Rica (O 2.5) for Game @ 1.877 = 1 unit
Switzerland (-0.5 and -1) vs Costa Rica for Game @ 1.787 = 1 unit (to be honest, this would be a 0.5 unit play, but im trying to keep everything in whole units)

Regarding the Portugal vs Cameroon, i don't know what to think about it.
If you want my opinion, i say the game finishes 1-0 for Portugal.

Yeah, im liking the swiss over more and more. Both teams are a mess in my opinion. I'm hoping to see lots of mistakes which turn into goals.
Portugal is so unreliable that quite frankly im scared playing them.
You can't underestimate Cameroon, so therefore im staying out of it.
The Netherlands game will be entertaining. i hope to see early goals. I think the biggest problem im facing with this game is the Icebreaker. It might be one of those games where nobody scores for the longest time, and the under hits.
If either team can score a goal, it will make the game more open and i think we'll be sure to see more goals. If you check at the recent history of both teams, neither of them have won or lost by a considerable amount (2 goals or more), which does concern me, but at the same time, i expect to see Van Persie, Sneijder, De Jong on one side, and Muntari, Asamoah and Boateng on the other end. Its hard to believe that with the quality of players seen, we'll be watching a game with a low score. But once again, thats just my opinion, and the risk i take making these plays.
